The Winter 2009 YCECA Wine Social will be held Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm (actually, it usually lasts until 9:00 pm when our “host venue” strongly encourages us to leave so they can close).  It will again be at Pasadena Liquors and Fine Wines.  Please mark your social calendars now!!

The theme will be Wines from Down Under.   We will be enjoying the wines of Australia and New Zealand.  I worked with Pete Celli (who also provides a wine column – Wining with Pasadena Pete for our Website) to develop a great Tasting Menu, based on a combination of variety and price.  The Tasting List:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My great Wine Social Committee will again provide a selection of Hors d’Oeuvres to accompany the wine selections; and there will be a Raffle a selection with very desirable items.

If you have never attended one of our Wine Socials, I strongly encourage you to attend, even if you do not drink wine or are a teetotaler.  Non-alcoholic drinks are always provided as are beer selections for those who prefer beer.  This is an opportunity to socialize with YCE neighbors you know and to meet new ones, as well as residents from Causeway Isles.
