YCECA Web Site Report

Your Webmaster had surgery on her Right Hand, so it has been pretty difficult to work on a Web Site with a big plaster cast. I have progressed from a cast to a splint and am hoping to get back to work on the Site very soon. Before progress "came to a halt," the YCECA Officers approved a new Theme for our Web Site. The theme includes a new YCECA Logo and a more streamlined, professional look. Once the Logo is fine tuned I will be able to publish the "new look."

I am pleased to announce that Pete Celli of Pasadena Liquors has agreed to contribute a regular Wine Column to the site. I have also been approved as a Neighborhood Watch Coordinator for the St Petersburg Police Dept.. This means that I will be receiving and posting the St Petersburg Event Summary Reports for our neighborhood from the Police Department.

Please visit the Site. Your feedback and input is solicited and welcomed! We want to know what you think of the site and to receive your suggestions on how to improve it.

We are especially interesting in soliciting the following:

  • Community events to publicize
  • Photographs of YCE (land and from water)
  • Garden Scenes – also anyone interested in featured garden/yard of the month?
  • We have many dog lovers – any interest in a Yacht Club Dog page with pictures?

We have received many requests for an online Neighborhood Directory. In conjunction with development of the next YCE Residents’ Directory, information is being collected from residents on what personal information (phone numbers, email addresses, etc) they choose to make public and what should remain private. The protected subsite will be added after this feedback has been collected and the information compiled and formatted.
