Many thanks to all of the volunteers that helped organize the YCE Island Party on April 13th, 2008.

The event, held this year at the Garden Club, was a great success! We were entertained by Steel Drums Player, Joseph Braccio and the Amazing Jason. The children loved Rick the Balloon-a-tic and face painting provided by Fancy Face painting. The coloring books, craft kits and outdoor toys were also a hit! The delicious food was catered by La Teresita and Athenia Gardens. We had over 170 neighbors and city officials attend the party and a lot of positive feedback. Thank you to those that took the time to fill out the questionnaires. These suggestions and comments will help with next year's preparations. A special thanks to Shannon Huet for the beautiful table decorations, Liz Burkhart for organizing all of the children entertainment, Ed Hotz for set up/fencing, and everyone else that was able to lend a helping hand.
